(This Day 3 post also pulls from excerpts sent to my parents)
Another great day! Very tired so can’t write much but woke up to a cold but clear sunny day (see photo with window). We waited for it to warm up a bit and then went out on the hills near the house again. I did two new runs that were not so bad, though I still fell a few times.
After a few runs we headed off for våfflor at Lillå Stugan, a sweet waffle hut that you ski to, and then continue down from. I just loved the green sign for Lillå Stugan, made me think of our Farm.
It was cozy inside and reminded me of our family’s old farmhouse before we lost it to a fire in 2004. The Våfflor and warm Saft were wonderful!!!
The path that continued on after had some more flat areas through the forest which are hard with downhill skies but I LOVED how beautiful and peaceful it was! Actually being here in the mountains in a ski town makes me miss VT a lot! So many similarities.
That afternoon we met with a relative of mine, Maria, for a Fika in the afternoon. She saw my pictures on Facebook and was coming up from Stockholm for a ladies weekend, so it was perfect that we could meet!
Lena and I had a nice super that evening and I did some work for my thesis… because there is always some work… One more day of skiing tomorrow. My back feels better but knee is a bit sore, hope it is okay in the morning so I can have one more fun day of skiing, then pack up and we drive home.
